Why We Built This Site
Public access in Michigan depends on the record’s creator. The Leelanau Sheriff retains its incident, arrest, booking, jail, and dispatch records. District and Circuit Court clerks keep filed charges and dispositions. CJIC runs ICHAT, MDOC publishes OTIS within its scope, and MSP manages PSOR. Bringing those distinct contacts, request steps, fees, and portal limits together makes the local system easier to navigate without pretending that one database contains everything.

What We Cannot Do
This is a private reference website, with no affiliation to a Michigan court, sheriff, police agency, or state office. Its limits are straightforward:
- We do not retrieve official criminal histories or conduct official checks
- We do not file FOIA requests, set-aside applications, or court papers for visitors
- We cannot certify a court document, rap sheet, booking record, or registry result
- We do not give legal advice about a charge, warrant, conviction, or case
- We cannot promise that a government office has not changed a fee, address, or procedure
An official copy must come from the office that maintains it, such as the sheriff, court clerk, or Michigan State Police Criminal Justice Information Center.
